Kartarpur Sahib is the place where Guru Nanak Dev Jee laid the foundation of Sikhism.  After finishing his missionary travels in different countries, he settled down at Kartarpur.  Kartarpur is located in Tehsil Shakargarh, Distt Narowal, Punjab, Pakistan.  In 1947, this historic place went to the Pakistani side of the border only at 2 miles from the border town Dera Baba Nanak, Distt Gurdaspur, Punjab, India.  There is a vista point on the border.

Why we need free access?

Kartarpur Sahib is that great historical place of pilgrimage where Shree Guru Nanak Dev Jee spent his final 17 years, 5 months & 9 days of his life. He outlined the basic principles of his philosophy of humanity, which later became the fundamentals of Sikh religion. The place is an abode of ultimate faith for the Sikhs.

Kartarpur Sahib Corridor

Kartarpur Sahib Corridor is the place where the first Guru of Sikhs, Guru Nanak Dev Jee laid foundation of Sikhism.  This historic place is located in Tehsil Shakargarh, Distt, Narrowal, Punjab, Pakistan only at miles from the international town of Dera Baba Nanak, Distt. Gurdaspur, Punjab, India. 

Dera Baba Nanak is around 35km (22miles) from Amritsar, Punjab, India http://sverigeapotek.se/.  The govt of India have built vista point on the border called (Darshan Sathal).  Sikhs come to visit this place to pay respect this historic place.   26 millions Sikhs live in Punjab, India, however, they can't visit this place.

 

 

History of Kartarpur Sahib

Kartarpur Sahib town was built by Guru Nanak Dev Jee in 1521.  He spent last 18 years of his life here at Kartarpur Sahib.

Why Sikhs Need Access

  5. Bhai Lehgna Jee spent 7 years in service of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Jee.
  6. This is not simple another Gurdwara but house of Guru Nanak.
